Sylvia Clute is the Program Coordinator for Restorative Youth Services of Virginia  headquartered in Richmond, Va. She has many years of experience as a trial attorney, is a trained Collaborative Law practitioner, mediator and restorative justice facilitator. She holds graduate degrees from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Boston University School of Law, and the University of California at Berkeley. She has authored two books, Beyond Vengeance, Beyond Duality: A Call for a Compassionate Revolution (Hampton Roads, 2010) and Destiny Unveiled (New Founders Press, 2007). Her blog, www.GenuineJusticee.com, includes posts about restorative justice. She is a grandmother, citizen activist, co-founder and former Chair of The WomensBank in Richmond, Va., and was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Nepal in the 1960s.
